OPPO Philippines teases smartphone with premium looks

After the successful September launch of the R7 Series in the Philippines, global tech giant OPPO has hinted at a new smartphone that’s coming “soon.”

The company showed off a teaser image of a device sporting a white colorway and a gold trim on its social media accounts. Judging by the photo, it looks as though the company will give its fans something to look forward to in the holidays.

2015 has proven to be a prolific year for the phone manufacturer, having released eight phone models this year alone. OPPO Philippines’ recent releases, namely the Mirror 5, R7 Lite, and R7 Plus, have all been successes and immediately sold out during their first weekend of availability.

And if there’s one underlying theme across the said OPPO devices, it’s that they are priced more aggressively than their counterparts from big-name brands. That said, it’s not hard to imagine that OPPO would use the same strategy this time around.

“The Philippine market is clamoring for value-for-money options these days,” said Stephen Cheng, Brand Marketing Manager at OPPO Philippines. “

“We can see a clear demand for phones that may be affordable but don’t look like it, so we’re giving the people more of what they want. Smartphone buyers are in for a treat this holiday season.”, he added.
